Zug, May 2025 – With Fabienne Theler, MSc PT, successfully completing her DMI Intermediate A certification, ApexaQLA Suisse has reached a milestone in pediatric neurological therapy. As the first therapist in Switzerland to hold this qualification and one of the few in Europe and Asia (<4), the center is clearly positioning itself as a reference location for pediatric neurological rehabilitation.
The DMI (Dynamic Movement Intervention) certification at Intermediate A Level is one of the most demanding qualifications. It represents in-depth expertise, comprehensive clinical experience, and a close connection to DMI founders Jake Kreindler and Jo-Anne Weltman.
Fabienne Theler: Professional excellence with an international profile
Fabienne Theler combines top-level training with intensive practical experience. Her master's degree in physiotherapy from King's College London, specializing in neurology, forms the scientific basis of her work. Over 180 hours of DMI therapy per month underscore her extensive clinical experience. Her work is characterized by ongoing mentoring from the DMI founders – a rarity in Europe – and the direct implementation of the latest findings from research and practice.
With this qualification, Theler symbolically climbs the therapeutic “Matterhorn”: the highest level of competence, grounded in daily work with children and families.
Dynamic Movement Intervention – targeted early intervention
DMI is an evidence-based therapy approach specifically tailored to children with neurodevelopmental delays. The method uses targeted, repetitive movement stimuli to trigger automatic responses in the body and activate the central nervous system for the development of motor skills. DMI is particularly suitable for children with cerebral palsy, genetic syndromes, Down syndrome, hypotonia, or unclear motor delay. The earlier the application, the more lasting the effect.
Sensophysio – the holistic model for promoting sensory and motor skills
Another innovative approach at ApexaQLA is the combination of DMI with the specially developed Sensophysio concept . This interdisciplinary method integrates targeted sensory stimulation with motor training to simultaneously promote stimulus processing and movement control. Sensophysio is based on modern findings in developmental neurology and is individually tailored to each child. It thus represents a groundbreaking complement to conventional therapy and is receiving increasing attention from international experts.
ApexaQLA Suisse – a center with international appeal
The therapy center offers much more than DMI: ApexaQLA combines state-of-the-art procedures under one roof to create a unique intensive therapy model. These include:
TheraSuit therapy : targeted muscle building, posture and gait training
SpiderCage : functional movement training with weight relief
Galileo vibration training : neuromuscular activation through mechanical stimuli
Electrical stimulation (TASES/NISE-Stim) : functional muscle stimulation
Sensory integration therapy : promoting perception and response
1–3-week intensive programs , individually planned and closely supervised
The entire therapeutic approach is systematically structured and aligned with international quality standards.
Location with a view – on Lake Zug, in the heart of Europe
ApexaQLA Suisse's headquarters in Zug , directly on Lake Zug , offers an inspiring and family-friendly environment for therapy, relaxation, and sustainable development. The central yet quiet location allows families from across Switzerland and neighbouring countries to combine high-quality neurological therapy with a natural environment.
